organ donor registration

TSO volunteers at many different venues to build up New York's Organ Donor Registration.  You'll find us at colleges, churches, civic organizations, street fairs, etc.

mEMBERSHIP

We are involved with public policy issues that could impact you. The Medicare Access for Part D coverage of your immunosuppressant medications is among the issues for transplant recipients. Your membership helps us continue our efforts.TSO is a 501(c)3 organization and your donations are tax deductible.

SCHOLARSHIP

TSO created the scholarship to honor the memory of deceased members and to further promote the importance of organ, eye and tissue donor awareness through a community service project.  Because 16 and 17 year olds can now register their intent to become organ donors, visibility in the high schools is very important.

Monthly Meetings

TSO conducts monthly meetings throughout the year with speakers providing substantial information to our members.  Our topics have included diet and nutrition, support for caregivers, the latest medical and pharmaceutical trends related to transplantation, just to name a few.

In addition, our high school outreach program reflects our commitment to promoting organ donation as a social responsibility.  Since the beginning of this program more than 10 years, we have now given our presentation to more than 70,000 high school students.

TSO’s many activities are very photoworthy.  Please take a look at the following photos we’ve taken at our holiday parties, registration events, speaking engagements, award and naturalization ceremonies, and meetings with our outstanding roster of speakers and topics.
